AMC Networks has finally found its new CEO: the same person who already held down two positions in the company’s C-suite.
Christina Spade, the company’s CFO and COO, has been named CEO, effective Sept. 9. She succeeds Matt Blank, who had been interim CEO since last September.
Patrick O’Connell, who had worked at CBS and Goldman Sachs, will serve as the new evp, CFO, and report to Spade.
The permanent CEO position had been vacant since August 2021, when longtime president and CEO Josh Sapan transitioned to the role of executive vice chairman after leading the company for 26 years.
